The adoption process is as stated:
1. Fill out and return the application
2. Meet and Greet the Flock
3. Start the search for the correct feather
4. Home visit by Flock Haven Member
5. Place the correct feather in the home for a 6 month preliminary adoption period.
6. Permanent adoption.

During this 6 month preliminary period we have the right to visit the feather with 24-48 hours notice, if we deem it necessary. If the match is correct we then continue on to the permanent adoption paperwork.

Permanent adoption means that you will be legally responsible for the feather's well being forever, the document you sign will state that the feather will be returned to Flock Haven if at any time you are unable to care for or keep the feather in your care, for any reason.

We are also available to care for any adoptive feather during vacations or family outings that he/she will not be able to attend.

Our goal is not to make life hard for adoptive families but to be positive in the placement of feathers in our care.
Birds are extremely smart and emotional creatures that will need a permanent flock to live out their lives and be given the best care possible to remain healthy and happy.

It is imperative that these souls find a forever home where they will be welcome with open arms and unconditional love
